My (infamous) cat, Jack, likes water. No, he doesn't just like water, he LOVES water.

So about a month ago he discovered that he is capable of jumping onto the counter in order to reach the sink. After the faucet is turned off it drips for a minute. Jack swats at the droplets.

Today was the first time I've seen him actually catch the drop of water. He whacked at it...and the water droplet smacked him in his left eyeball. He blinked. He stared at me. "That damned water just smacked me in the eye! Why, the bloody-hell, are you standing there laughing at me?!!?" He seemed to say. (Jack is a Brit-cat at times.)

Then he pranced off to other commit atrocities and partake in other adventures around the house, his head held snobbishly high.

Some people are soul mates, not in that sexual way, but in the way that they just know...

...they just know everything, but they still wait for you to say it.

Then they nod and hug you. Every crazy-ness is validated, then put in its place.

Some soul mates are coming over this evening, I can't wait.

Life just keeps getting more and more interesting, doesn't it? Every time I feel like I may just have figured out how the world works and how best to maneuver within this crazy system called "Life"...I realize I'm missing the boat entirely.

So, there is Life Lesson 2 billion and three.

Every once in a while a word will make me so happy.

Recently I've been overusing "wonky"...but come on-it's a great word!

Say it. "Wonky." Say it again. "Wonky."

If you didn't just smile...then you are wonky.

I'm home. I'm tired. I'm sick.

My girl is the most beautiful sight I've ever seen.

I love you, baby.

Back to the home country I go. We will drink whiskey and Guinness, eat fried foods and delight in the green lushness of the countryside. An Irish blessing to all!

Today is one of those Contemplative Days. I know others must have these days, we just don't talk to each other about them. My relationship with Contemplative Days is one of love and hate. I love to be deep in thought about my philosophies of life and moral dilemmas, but I hate if I act on trying to apologize for old regrets on days like this. So I will calmly drink my beer and think about trying to rekindle old friendships, or completely changing my mind on long-term life decisions....but don't let me act on any of these thoughts, or more regrets would occur.
