Some people are soul mates, not in that sexual way, but in the way that they just know...
...they just know everything, but they still wait for you to say it.
Then they nod and hug you. Every crazy-ness is validated, then put in its place.
Some soul mates are coming over this evening, I can't wait.

Life just keeps getting more and more interesting, doesn't it? Every time I feel like I may just have figured out how the world works and how best to maneuver within this crazy system called "Life"...I realize I'm missing the boat entirely.
So, there is Life Lesson 2 billion and three.

Every once in a while a word will make me so happy.
Recently I've been overusing "wonky"...but come on-it's a great word!
Say it. "Wonky." Say it again. "Wonky."
If you didn't just smile...then you are wonky.

I'm home. I'm tired. I'm sick.
My girl is the most beautiful sight I've ever seen.
I love you, baby.

Back to the home country I go. We will drink whiskey and Guinness, eat fried foods and delight in the green lushness of the countryside. An Irish blessing to all!

Today is one of those Contemplative Days. I know others must have these days, we just don't talk to each other about them. My relationship with Contemplative Days is one of love and hate. I love to be deep in thought about my philosophies of life and moral dilemmas, but I hate if I act on trying to apologize for old regrets on days like this. So I will calmly drink my beer and think about trying to rekindle old friendships, or completely changing my mind on long-term life decisions....but don't let me act on any of these thoughts, or more regrets would occur.

Today was one of those "free sauna" days. You are just waiting for it to rain so that the thick air would break. Then it does rain, a deliciously warm summer rain. I napped. When I woke up it was cool(-er), breathable, which made me happy. The sun came out while I was reading on my porch, drinking a cold beer. Does life get better than this?
Yes, because then it started pouring again...with the sun still shining. I couldn't find a rainbow outside though...until I came inside and little rainbows danced about my living and dining rooms from our cut-glass windows. Beautiful. Life is just so beautiful.

I'm organizing a Bachelor Auction for Pride Alive's MN AIDS Walk Team. A fundraiser for a fundraiser, really. I've been pretty frustrated with it due to the lack of assistance from other volunteers.
Yesterday, however, I took a walk down Lyndale Avenue. It was freakishly freezing, wind whipping hair into my eyes. Ouch.
I entered Smitten Kitten, the loveliest feminist-owned sex shop. The owner donated $200 worth of cockrings and sex-play-dice.
There just ain't nothin' better than walking home with $200 worth of sex toys :)
Everyone should come to the Bachelor Auction, April 22nd at the Saloon!

I haven't actually articulated my sense of spirituality, until last night.
Here is an excerpt:
Everyone has a spiritual side and I think that needs to be fed, just like our physical self. I feed my spirit by becoming aware of my surroundings and noticing the beauty in everyday life. Despite the poverty and violence of the North side, there is still beauty in the faces of the community members who care. My spirit is fed when I connect with the four elements, notice them...hear the wind in the leaves above the cars and horns.
Today it is snowing. Thick, heavy flakes are floating and dancing around. It is beautiful. My spirit is content.

Roller Derby Girls rock my world. I'm honestly thinking of becoming one, just for the hard-core, pure sexiness of short skirts accessorized by knee and elbow pads. They are all tall (thanks to the roller skates) and tough as hell! It's fucking hot!
The only thing holding me back is that they practice two hours a day (but think of those leg muscles! Hot damn!). That and, oh yeah, I haven't been on roller skates since I was maybe 7 for my birthday party at the Roller Gardens.
Sigh.
Maybe I'll just become a groupie until I have the time and courage to get my ass into skates again.
