"Nothing is ever as important as is actually seems." -Rick Fenske

Rick made a plaque of that quote, gave it to us, then years later waited for his wife to bring their 8-year old daughter to school so he could shut himself in his car and shoot himself in the head.

The phone call I received announcing his suicide and his face in the casket still haunt my dreams in between sleep and awake.

I think he needed to re-read his quote a few more times.

I'm reading I Know This Much is True, it's making me think about the deaths of some awesome people in my life...role models...I miss you Diann, Ellie, Rick....
