Miriam proposed to Laura (who said "yes" obviously!) last night at the Olive Garden downtown. I ran down Hennepin Ave to get there and was sweating (and probably stinky!) but it was more than worth it :) The whole waitstaff new what was happening and kept peeking through plants and around corners to see if Miriam had pulled out her guitar yet.If this were to be written in a book and discussed endlessly in an English 101 class, this would be my favorite part, a little foreshadowing action for you: Not knowing that Miriam was going to propose a bit later in the evening, Laura brings up the topic of Miriam putting things she likes into her cleavage...20 minutes later Miriam is down on one knee and pulls the ring-still-in-box from her cleavage. Everything just comes full circle, doesn't it? Also, Laura's face was precious! When Miriam started playing the guitar and singing behind Laura, Laura turns around and asks, "Miriam, what are you doing with a guitar?" Haha! SURPRISE, LAURA! And CONGRATS! to both of you.
