I thought that turning 22 was going to be so anti-climatic, especially after last year's celebrations in London...then I got so many reminders that I HAVE THE BEST FRIENDS EVER! I love you all. Tusen takk! Gratulerer med dagen aa meg :)

I've really been so upset and stressed over this election. Trying to assure myself that "it's only four more years" really doesn't help, especially if Bushy-boy will be able to put new Supreme Court Justices in place to make decisions to further dictate what I do with my body, to write discrimination into our Constitution...the list goes on. Not much scares me, but this definitely does.

My mom reminded me that "some people survived Hitler, therefore some people will inevitably survive Bush." What is this country coming to when the only thing that gives us a shrivel of hope is an analogy like that?!?!

The good news is that Minnesota had 77% voter turn out! And good ol' Minnesota refused to turn red for this election (Richy McRich Edina was even blue?!?!?!). Also, Martin Olav Sabo (the liberal geriatric) and Steve Simon (the newby) and Mr. Latz (I'm blanking on his first name) all give St. Louis Park hope for our future.
