Get this, for my research I just had to read the following:

'Somonides (c. 640BCE)...portrayed the female as rivalling in vice the sow, vixen, bitch, ass, ferret, mare and monkey.'

How often do sentences like that come about?! Haha! Maybe this research isn't as bad as I thought it would be...?

P.S. I'M GOING TO GREAT BIG SEA TONIGHT!!! BOOYAH!

Call the Fire Brigade!

I talked to my dear friend, Rachel-the-Brit, tonight. She told me a story from her work today: Someone died from trolley rage!

Now, those of you unfamiliar with the term 'trolley' that is what those silly Brits call their carts at the grocery store.

So, apparently there was some heated trolley rage in Rachel's work today and the store had to close for 3 hours following the first-ever death due to trolley rage. (I am not actually sure if this is the first case of death by trolleying, but I'm assuming so...?)

I just can't help but wonder, did Rachel get paid for those 3 hours? She damn well should have!

God, I miss you, my darling Brits: T.B. and Rachel. Not to mention my love of the Belgians: Alex and Simo. Please take care (stay away from trolleys!) and bisous to all! Your Minnesotan-Little One.

Yesterday a friend of mine who is the editor of our university newspaper called me to see if I would write a letter to the editor on a topic of my choice. She called me because I am the most opinionated person she knows, I can formulate an argument and become passionate about pretty much any topic.

This was the best compliment I've received in a long, long time.

Sometimes you just get a bad impression from someone, usually it's a first impression, and no matter what that person does you refuse to change your mind. Especially since I am a stubborn little one, and even more stubborn if the subject matter concerns certain people that I am a bit over-protective about...but every once in a while something happens that makes you want to change your mind. So, my mind has changed...at least for the time being :)

In other news, Amy Rocks!

And we watched Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade tonight. It was good times! I highly recommend it. Goodnight!

Yesterday I went to my first caucus ever. This was the first bullet point on my agenda for the year, entitled: "Get Bush Out of the White House". They committee that set up for the caucus was told to plan for three times as many people as usual. There were 10 times as many people there, we spilled over to other rooms. Yay! So, obviously others had the same agenda as I did. This is extremely exciting, seeing as I didn't know how I was meant to get Bush out of office alone.

As I was voting, I thought about what bullet point number two should be...suddenly I was signed up as an Associate Precinct Chair! I have no idea what my responsibilities are, but (can you believe it??) I am officially in politics now!

The guy across for me also signed up as an Associate Chair without knowing the expectations of the job. Then he looked at me and said, "Who knows, you could be a senator someday!" Watch out!!!

The woman at the end of the table was wearing a button that said 'RN Voter!' I was thinking I should get one that says, 'Classics Voter'. Haha!
